About Me
The Cat Journey wants to help 10.000 Cat Parents improve their relationships with their cats.
Hi! My name is Liliana De Giorgio and I’m the proud founder of the Cat Journey blog. In the beginning, it all started as a compilation of useful resources I found on the Internet that I saved on a Word document so I could take better care of Junior, my beautiful cat. As I started studying and applying these tips (based only on Positive Affirmation techniques), I saw how they helped me correct many of Junior’s bad behaviors, making life at home much better for me and my husband.
After successfully stopping unwanted behaviors ranging from jumping on dining table to aggressively attacking people for no apparent reason, I started sharing my learnings with my friends and family. To my surprise, many of them reported that my suggestions helped them stop their cats from behaviors they thought impossible to get rid of!

That made me realize an astonishing truth few Cat Parents know about: the real problem is NOT the cat… it’s our lack of knowledge!
For this reason, I decided to take this passion and commit such that I could help even more cat parents with their furry friends. Entering: The Cat Journey Blog.
In it, you will find easy-to-read, practical advice on how to deal with many of the behavioral problems your cat has and why it acts in those ways. And before you tell me… No, you will not just find my personal opinions. In fact, I’m committed to show you content that is backed by up to date scientific research, something that I have not seen many other cat blogs out there do.

Though I’m not a certified veterinarian or animal behaviorist, I promise you will find the solution you need and the answers to the questions you’ve been wondering for some time.
You will also find recommendations for the best products out there to take the best care for your friend… as well as making your life at home much easier!
For now, my mission is to help 10.000 cat owners improve their relationship with their cats, and I’m super excited to see how this little experiment will go.

My writing process
The Cat Journey wants to share with you actual advice you can use at home to correct unwanted behaviors, understand your cat better, and take better care for him or her. For this reason, I write every blog post after 5-10 hours of research, reading all the scientific articles available on the topic. Some of the sites I usually visit are:
- ASPCA – The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®
- Plos
- American Association of Feline Practitioners
- NCBI – US National Library of Medicine
- College of Veterinary Medicine – Cornell University
- ACVB The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists
As you’ll see in many of the strategies I share, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. This means that you’ll have the chance to try different solutions to the same problem, and see which one fits better for you.
